The Great Commission involves reaching people!
Once we reach them, we need to heed the Word of God as in Matthew 28:19-20. "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
The mission of Sunday School is to seek and save those who are lost. Sunday School exists to help the church fulfill three major areas: Bible Study, Fellowship, and Outreach/Evangelism. Family Training Hour exists to help the church: win the lost, train disciples, worship, and fellowship.undamentals: knowledge of God's Word, worship and praise and service to the Kingdom of God.
"And the things that thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." Timothy 2:2
"Study to show thyself approved unto God. A workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
"Now And He gave some apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers," For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
Ephesians 4:11-12 states that we should lead them in a personal relationship with Jesus as their personal savior. And, promote Sunday School and Church growth.
We also desire to participate in the making of disciples, study the Word of God, help believers identify their spiritual gifts and educate/train our children and youth.
Family Training Hour (FTH)
Family Training Hour is established to build up the family structure by providing a strong biblical foundation in Bible study. The Family Training Hour provides challenging, exciting and Biblical based training to build strong faith, holy living and promote family devotions. |
