Jesus' personal ministry to women has a radical emphasis. Women played a prominent role in practically every aspect of His ministry from the annunciation to Mary until His ascension from the Mount of Olives. Not only did He minister to women (Matt 15:21-28, Mar 5:21-34, John 4:6-42), but women were involved in His ministry (Luke 8:2-3), ministered to Him (John 12:1-8), followed Him even to Calvary (Matt 27:55-56), determined to give Him a proper burial (Mark 16:1), were the first to see Him after His resurrection (Mark 16:9), and were the first evangelists of His glorified state (Matt 28:1-10).
The Apostle Paul also declared a womans freedom in Christ as stated in Gal 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus". This verse serves as the manifesto for women to respond appropriately to the call on their lives and by assuming their corresponding membership within the body of Christ.
- To help women understand that growing women can be ministering women
- To help women understand that ministering women will produce growth
- For the Women's Ministry to extend hands of love, evangelism, and fellowship
- To help foster our responsibilities to: Christ, the Church, and the community
- To assist the Pastor in accomplishing the overall vision for our church
- To create an atmosphere for women to realize spiritual and personal growth
To accomplish the vision, the basic emphasis would be placed as follows: prayer ministries, educational ministries, compassion/caring ministries, and practical ministries of the church.
